Transformation
We advance personal transformation of ex-prisoners through our work which in turn results in their de-stigmatisation. PHF provides a short-term shelter for recently released prisoners (mainly women) who do not have a place to return to, we further offer counseling services, soft skills training, and referrals to HIV &AIDS and/or drug dependence support organizations.
Re-integration
PHF engages with various families and communities of ex-prisoners across Uganda through family and relationship restoration support work ( mediation, coaching, community dialogue among others), resettlement kit bags containing toiletries, essential clothing, and food and creates linkages with skills training and employment opportunities.
Prevention
At PHF with the help of youth mentors and volunteers, we conduct talks, seminars, and plays on delinquent behavior, sexuality, crime, teenage pregnancies, drug use/abuse, HIV&Aids, and other essential topics to curb youth delinquency, and crime among youth aged 13-24 years in secondary and post-secondary institutions. We stretch our services to societies where we address the burning issues that have led to high crime rates i.e. domestic violence, poverty, and drug abuse among others.
